Jean Paul Gaultier - FW1997 - Fight Racism Mesh Top With Plaid
This vintage Jean Paul Gaultier top was made for the Fall Winter 1997 collection. JPG has created the most political prints in the 90's and this is one of them. This print has the words "Fight Racism" inside a visage as well as the years of the collection "Hiver 1997". The sleeves and back are contrasting with a white plaid all over.
The top is special and was presented on the catwalk.
It is made entirely of mesh, made in Italy with no flaws. The size noted is S but it honestly is sooooo stretchy. The model on the fit pictures usually wear size L.
During the FW1997 show, the movie soundtrack of 'Do the Right Thing' was played in homage of Black Divas of this century, from Nina Simone to Neneh Cherry. Thank you Getty image for picture and detail.
