Jean Paul Gaultier - FW1993 - Rabbi Chic Zipped & Hooded Cardicgan
This vintage Jean Paul Gaultier hooded cardigan is from the 1993 Fall Winter collection.
The greatest detail and the most intriguing is the patch where you can read “Jean Paul Gaultier” in Cyrillic letters. Only France and Japan had their patches on and the rest of the world censured them. Super soft fabric. No flaws.
This collection is called Rabbi-Chic” and is known to be one of the most controversial as it directly reference jewish culture, it was also presented in French Vogue where models Shalom Harlow And Bridget Hall dressed as fashionable Orthodox jewish women photographed by Ellen Von Unwerth in New York City where Gaultier had his inspiration.
