Jean Paul Gaultier - FW1994 - Bull Head Mongolian Coat
This vintage Jean Paul Gaultier coat is from the Fall Winter 1994 collection called "Grand Voyage", one of his most referenced collection. That year inspiration references Mongolian tribes. This coat is a mix of two styles seen in Vogue magazine in 1994 (right and left models).
It has the famous bull heads brocade all over in silver over bleu/gray fabric and the inside is a bleu/gray silk like fabric. The inside is absolutely stunning as well and can be worn inside out for a more tamed look. The top closure inside out works as well and no labels will be showing!
The brand label are sewn inside the pocket as often for more luxurious pieces. It has snaps button for the pockets to keep it well closed, there is a belt and the bottom of the sleeve can be cuffed.
The shape is meant to be oversize with drop shoulders and space for any sweater underneath . The lining and general fabric are synthetics so this coat is vegan. It is SUPER warm. #WinterBestFriend
